Our American Revolution

You’ll find this particular story quite intriguing as I’ve spent a vast amount of time researching pre revolution America when taxation on the colonists led to extreme measures. I’ve meticulously recreated the details in the clothing, architecture and various interiors of this period which should enhance your reading experience. Though I'd like to warn you in advance, this isn't going to be a happy or fun story as the subject of war is not a pretty matter. During this volatile age in Europe as in the colonies, the first true modern thinking people emerged and with it some of the earliest cartoons were born. They were printed with word balloons, and they were in color. Imagine that! Though they were mostly savage attacks on political elites, there were other cartoons that reflected on folly and bufoonery within the colonies. We could laugh at ourselves as well as our adversaries. This new artistic movement I believe was another kind of revolution.

Enjoy!
